The 215 Sundowner is the smallest Four Winns´s cuddy cabin boat intended for people with a lively spirit who does not like to waste too much time on planning where to spend vacation, since the boat is easy transportable on a trailer which enables quick arrival to the first place adequate for launching. Despite being small, she has enough space, because use of every nook is cautiously planned. The boat is full of useful compartments that enable to fixedly store things, which is especially important in a sport boat. For example, at the walk-thru transom an infloor ski locker is concealed by a hinged lid equipped with a gas filled assist shock, and a storage locker along the transom provides place for water sports equipment. A cockpit refreshment center is standard, and it´s equipped with a sink and pressurized running water, counter top, trash receptacle and two drink holders. Owners may also choose an optional table for this area and enhance that further with the addition of an available butane burner stove. The modular unit conceals a 36-quart carry on cooler, and storage compartments. A fill-in option for this area creates a roomy sunning area. Below deck, the cabin in the 205 Sundowner exhibits ergonomics and space utilization. For example, the 215 features a slide-out portapotti that stores below the entry steps when not needed. Backrest cushions easily convert to fill-in cushions when using the cabin for sleeping. This concept not only provides for clever storage of fill-in cushions, but provides additional cabin room when needed most.
The 215 Sundowner is built on Four Winns’ patented Stable Vee running surface. A variable dead-rise creates a large footprint in the water for enlarged lateral stability either at rest or while running. This distinction is perceived as soon as one boards the 215 Sundowner. The boat has dramatically reduced the tendency to wobble or roll while passengers board. Underway, the benefits of Stable Vee are even more apparent. Twin active pods astern create the effect of large trim tabs that help lift the hull onto plane faster, and keep the Sundowner on plane at lower speeds. Once on plane, the active pods are actually above the water surface, thereby reducing drag for improved performance.
