The new Scorpion Serket 1080 is a development of Scorpion\'s famous twin-stepped hull, offering a unique combination of speed and class-leading handling and sea-keeping whilst also displaying a sleek head-turning design. The hull is key to the confident, smooth ride. Whether you are in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean or the English Channel, you can be sure of the sea-keeping and comfort of a Scorpion Rib. The unique stepped hull profile, designed by Lorne Campbell whose pedigree includes designs for a catalogue of water speed and racing records, makes it fast and fuel-efficient but also gives additional deck space and an astonishing turn of speed.
The new Scorpion Serket 1080 model also brings grace to the speed. It is ideal for leisure use, as a superyacht tender or a chase boat. The new hull design is wider, with a beam of 3.24m to give more deck space, with a range of deck and seating configurations to provide the perfect platform for all types of use. From sunbathing to race photography, with clever design features such as a table in the forward seating area which folds down to provide a sun deck and even space in the console for fully functioning heads, the Scorpion Serket 1080 has a configuration for all applications.
The Serket 1080\'s twin-stepped hull design enables the boat to achieve outstanding performance, with less power and improved fuel efficiency. The boat is available with inboard or outboard engine options. In recent sea trials, the twin Mercury Verado 300hp outboard engines delivered a top speed of 59.4 knots, a comfortable cruising speed of 45 knots, planing at just 12 knots and a range of 300 nautical miles at 30 knots. The ride is superbly smooth and comfortable while Scorpion\'s unique reverse scalloped chines ensure a dry ride for passengers even at high speeds.
The Serket 1080 will be available with a number of configuration and engines options.
