The Antares 8.80 is most of all a cruiser: life on board is comfortable with a very large saloon (the table and U shaped seat cater for as many as 6 people!) and a real kitchen with worktop. The owner cabin boasts a good size double bed (1.98 m X 1.50 m), with a separate bathroom, but what is even more surprising is the presence of a second cabin, for children or guests, with a 140cm wide berth.
The boat cruising speed is 23-25 knots, with a maximum of 30 knots. The Antares 8.80 is available in single (250 HP) or twin-engine (2 x 150 HP) version. In addition to this high performance motorisation, the Antares 8.80 is the first Antares to benefit from a AIR STEP® hull: boat performance, manoeuvrability and stability are a world apart from a classic hull and the sensations just unparalleled. Thanks to the AIR STEP® hull, the Antares 8.80 has lower fuel consumption, enjoys faster accelerations and is very steady on the water, even through waves. Passengers will also appreciate the comfort of the AIR STEP® « air cushion » and the smooth turnhandling.
Life aboard this 8 metre long boat is even more enjoyable thanks to the interior brightness. Every part of the boat is fitted with light wells : two large window panels in the hull bathe the owner cabin in natural light. Ventilation is made possible through two porthole openings in these panels. Finally, light floods into the wheelhouse through two sunroofs (sliding panels) and side windows: they create an amazing panoramic sea view!
The Antares 8.80 has an adjustable cockpit: For most enjoyable fishing trips, the cockpit seats are removed, creating more space for moving around. These L shaped cockpit seats provide comfortable seating both on the water and in the harbour as well as storage room (optional). The sunbathing platform (optional) at the front is an ideal place to relax. Access to the sea is easy thanks to two side platforms, one of which holds up the bathing steps.
