Inexpensive and well-designed, the Harpoon 550 is a family trailerable fisherman with functional cockpit and practical cabin accommodations. Construction is solid fiberglass, and her beam results in a very roomy cockpit for this boat size. Without redundant and expensive luxury, with protected helm position and completely closed cabin that can easily accommodate two adults and one child, she enables overnighting on the water in some arresting bays. Equipped with 70 hp outboard, she develops enviable speed of 27-28 knots, while with an engine of 90 hp she achieves over 30 knots. Due to the form of bow, she safely sail in the displacement speed in the high sea conditions.
Owing to her small weight, she is easy transportable on a trailer. Small disadvantage is lack of portable toilet included neither in an optional equipment, but owner can easily solve this problem independently. In addition, small galley with icebox and cabin hatch would be very useful for weekend cruises. Optional equipment among others contains battery, outlet 12V, magnetic compass, navigational lights, horn, speedometer, deck hatch, fire extinguisher, anchor roller, bimini, bilge pump, berth upholstery, rod holders, el. installments with fuses.
Harpoon 550 has been designed to join the good maritime characteristic and the roominess with affordable price tag and economical use. The especially interesting use is for fishing throughout the year. Her protected and glassed helm provides safe protection from the bad weather conditions.
