Successful cooperation between Jeanneau shipyard and Italian design studio Garroni & Musio Salé further continues on the new Prestige 46, leading yacht of the comprehensive motor fleet. The same as with Sun Odyssey 54 DS, here is expected is not only good creative result, but also financial success. Creative freedom resulted in appearance with occasionally contradicting character, since it varies from classical (already seen) reticence to distinctive contemporary individuality, finally creating good impression of a yacht with strong personal visual identity. Prestige 46’s greatest advantage is her balanced hull made of fibreglass with structural reinforcements in balsa-cored sandwich construction (lower hull). Twin diesel engines have propeller shaft, thus are moved forward (right under the aft part of a helm station), which enabled obtaining almost ideal centre of gravity and maximized maritime qualities as right solution for safe and pleasant navigation. Deck has also been made of balsa-cored sandwich with “Granite style” deck liner. Interior, in lacquered mahogany, is regularly made with three cabins and two heads (optional is two-cabin version). Large helm station comprising integral saloon with a galley can accommodate eight persons (maximum twelve) on cruises. The aft part has space that can be utilized as either skipper’s cabin or auxiliary boat storage.
