Azimut’s new flagship is in its final phase in the new boatyard in Viareggio. With a gliding keel and 4,000cv MTU engines this 35.4mt long and 7.4mt wide yacht, designed by Righini, is built on two and a half decks. It has three large lateral elliptic windows and six large vertical portholes on both sides of the hull illuminating the guest’s cabins. The sundeck has two electric hard tops which, from the central mast, extend towards aft and stern guaranteeing shade for the Fly, which is also equipped with a Jacuzzi. The design developed by Righini and Galeazzi guarantees maximum flexibility, an essential condition for these dimensions and offers the customer three versions, all with five cabins and all with private bathrooms and ample communal spaces. The first unit was designed and decorated by the architect Mauricio Gomez de Tuddo who masterfully interpreted the customers desire for linearity and essentiality. The furniture is in fact in limed oak and walnut, a play on light and dark, solidity and transparency, horizontal lines which together create a light and spacious effect with natural fabrics and steel detail on the furniture and divans by Cappellini. The engine room is completely insulated and soundproofed in compliance with the strictest criteria and all the auxiliary systems have silencers. The air-conditioning system is designed to treat primary air in all quarters to ensure healthy air onboard. The craft is equipped as would be a maxi yacht: electronic 50hp bow thrusters, the latest Raytheon RNS 1500 system, control room and ship’s monitoring system with touch screen. The aft garage houses a tender and two jet skis or alternatively, one tender and an extra cabin for the crew.
A further two units are under construction in the boat yard in Viareggio with delivery dates programmed for February and July 2004.
