Squadron, Fairline´s pedigree series for 2000 has been completed with a new yacht that replaced model that had been produced since 1993. In the beginning, this was the Squadron 56. Two years later, this model had been extended for three feet by adding of swim platform and renamed to 59. In spite of the size difference (new 58 is somewhat shorter, but in return wider than 59), these two models are, regarding concept, completely identical motor yachts with insignificant variations in interior layout. Visible difference is new, extravagant Squadron 58´s profile which successful design and well-composed details indicate all splendour of the Fairline´s designers´ team ideas. Yacht is built on a solid modified deep-V hull with embedded prop tunnels. Attraction of the fly bridge is supplemented by three seating places in the central axis of the navigational console. Starboard comprises longitudinally positioned bench seat for those who like chatting to skipper or enjoying boat´s speed. Aft part of the fly bridge has an immense settee that encircles whole space, which makes her ideal place for gathering of the whole company during warm summer nights. Handy wet bar includes sink, refrigerator and completely equipped electric barbecue. Non-skid teak layer enables easy movement across the side parts of the boat and, at the same time, contributes to the elegance of the deck. Devoted sunbathing fans have their padded place on the bow part of the yacht. Interior is made of lacquered American Cherry and Eucalyptus or Maple and Bird´s Eye maple. Owner´s cabin, accompanied by own head with shower booth, occupies full width of the below-deck. Neither guests can complain about two remaining cabins that share second head of the same size. Fourth cabin is optional (either double or single with an own toilet) and has place for a washing machine. Optional is also aft cabin for the crew. Saloon area is divided in two levels: lower with a large semi-circular sofa and separate galley and the upper part comprising helm seat on one side and a dining area with a panoramic view on the other. Surfaces sunlight passes through is shaded, which ensures protection from the sizzling sun and, at the same time, creates exquisitely intimate atmosphere in the interior. For this yacht are available six dual diesel engines, three Volvo Penta (EDC II maximises fuel burning and, therefore, improves performances with decreased both fuel consumption and exhaust gases emission), two Caterpillars and one MAN. With least powerful Volvo Penta engines D12 EDC 2x615HP maximum speed is 28 knots, while with the most powerful CAT and MAN 2x800HP, Squadron 58 develops maximum speed of 33 knots.
