The new Targa builds on the success of the Targa 62 Gran Turismo and features yet more exciting engineering and design developments, including a new patented retractable Gran Turismo roof and the largest single unsupported screen of its type in the world. The Targa 64 offers owners 6-7 berths and boasts a superb, full-beam master stateroom amidships with oversized double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, and access to the master en-suite shower room. The en-suite aboard the Targa 64 features an electro-chromatic partition; a high-tech system that changes the glass from opaque to transparent at the flick of a switch, allowing light to flood through the feature windows into the cabin.
The Targa 64’s master accommodation is complemented by a forward stateroom with oversized double bed and en-suite access, as well as a unique twin side-byside port cabin that can convert to a double berth if required. Owners can also opt for an additional aft crew cabin.
In addition to the sleeping accommodation, the Targa 64 has a spacious outdoor cockpit that features a comprehensive galley bar, folding solid teak table, and extensive seating for al-fresco entertaining. Walking indoors reveals a luxuriously appointed deck saloon and helm position, maximising the available light from the curved side windows and huge sliding fullwidth roof.
The deck saloon hosts a height adjustable folding electric table, forward Lshaped seating with coffee table, and a practical yet stylish sideboard that houses an integrated icemaker and bottle, glass and cutlery stowage. The 64’s deck saloon also benefits from a hi-lo 32” LCD TV and DVD/CD audio system, a feature skylight with electric blinds and mood lighting.
The deck saloon/helm station leads to a particular highlight of the model, a wide atrium-style access to the lower saloon and galley area, which features a contemporary continental galley and seating quartile. Equipped with everything the Fairline owner could require, the highly specified galley with full-height standing headroom, includes a microwave oven, fridge/freezer, twin sinks, optional dishwasher and generous stowage, including an underfloor stowage hold.
The Targa 64 also boasts generous sun-bathing areas and a garage with winch system for concealed storage of a jet RIB or PWC beneath the aft sundeck. There is also a telescopic swim ladder to the bathing platform. The new retractable GRAN TURISMO roof aboard the Targa 64 has been tested extensively by the Fairline engineering team. Fairline has trialled several roof mechanisms on its boats and its latest system, created by Lola Engineering, incorporates a pneumatic seal; providing the most robust system currently available, patented across the world. Fairline has put the system through 7,500 cycles – equivalent to 32 years use with no engineering concerns. A superb performer with twin Caterpillar C18-1015 Diesel or optional MAN 1100 CRM Diesel, the Targa 64 Grand Turismo will reach a fast 35 knots.
