Friday 30th April 2004, in the fascinating frame of Genoa Porto Antico, it has been presented at the worlwide press the newflagship of the Riva fleet. Opera 85´, this is the name, she is a 26-meter of exceptional refinement, designed by Mauro Micheli and his Officina Italiana Design and produced in the new Riva shipyard in La Spezia. Opera 85´ keeps the name of its predecessor of 80´ of which 24 units were sold. With the birth of new Oper and the next realisation of the first 115´ Fly, the Riva range is growing up to 9 models going from 10 to 35 meters. Simultaneously and already from the next months new models of medium size will be released from the historical shipyard situated in Sarnico and from the brand new one in La Spezia. Norberto Ferretti, President of Riva and Ferretti Group (of which Riva is part) affirms: "Every new yacht created by Riva builds an extraordinary challenge. Riva is a legend in the pleasure boating world and our commitment is to transfer on each model a high level of detail care, of tehnological innovation, of total quality which stands properly in Riva´s DNA. It is obvious that these yachts of big dimensions which are now part of the Riva production multiply the complexity of the challenge and makes it even more fascinating". A new hull, new sizes (from 80´ to 85´), new interiors. It remains the name - well known all over the world - of the yacht that in the last years caused an irresistible attraction to a growing number of ship owners. Equipped with four double and twins cabins (all with toilets), the new yacht is available in the three-cabin version. The crew cabin, completely indipendent, is properly equipped with three bed distributed in two cabins. Great attention has been put in the distribution of the spaces on the main bridge, full of light also in the internal spaces, and on the fly-bridge. The garage particularly wide allows the fly-bridge to be free from any tender´s volume. The engines is granetd by two MTU of 2,000 MHP, that allow a cruising speed of 31 knots and a maximum speed of 34 knots with range of 310/280 n.m.
