The first model of a new series of exciting, multi-usage sport boat has arrived…Monterey’s M5. Tri-tone gelcoat is standard or she can be spiced up with stylish M graphics.
Though the M5’s footprint is broadened to accommodate more seating and space, the boat’s sleek, muscular profile is retained, giving this ultimate luxury runabout a sporty appeal. Geared towards the active water sport enthusiast family, the M5 takes advantage of Monterey’s proprietary Air Assist Chine. This performance-enhancing feature allows air to mix with water passing underneath the hull, thus reducing hydrodynamic drag and increasing fuel efficiency. It also helps the M5 to stay on plane at the optimal 18-22 MPH used during water sports. This design, along with our integrated lifting strake system, allows the M5 to grab the water better and achieve tighter cornering and more precise handling. An optional folding aluminum sport arch with ski tow and optional graphics rounds out the ultimate water sport vessel.
The M5 walk-thru transom leads to an oversized cockpit with multiple seating arrangements. A large L-shaped lounge seat offers plenty of room along with a captain’s and passenger-adjustable bucket seat with flip-up bolsters. There’s even an “observer’s” seat located directly behind the helm seat for safely viewing wakeboarders, skiers and tubers in tow. The ergonomically designed helm comes complete with full instrumentation with fog-resistant gauges and low-glare night lighting, tilt steering wheel and digital depth sounder with shallow water alarm.
An immense bow section awaits the crew. Twin forward-facing seats convert to lounges with optional filler cushions package and even come with fold down armrests. Conveniently located drink holders, a built in cooler and safety grab rails allow you to sit back in comfort, relax and enjoy the sun. Also notice the large forward anchor locker also houses a telescopic boarding ladder. The portside observer’s seat also stores a 48-quart carry-on cooler or you can substitute an optional wet bar with sink, faucet, slide out cooler and storage. A pressurized water transom shower is located at the walk-thru transom and the stereo system is within arms reach. Passengers will appreciate the enclosed head complete with synthetic wood flooring, vanity, sink and pullout shower. The aft back-to-back L-lounge converts to a sun pad and is electrically actuated. In short, the M5 is the ultimate expression of a very special breed of boat.
