Mirage is great refreshment among unwavering runabouts with cabin, intended for speeds of up to 50 knots. Naming boat after especially complicated optical phenomenon points to designer’s intention to elevate from serial cloning which results in products which appear to be seen thousand times already. Small detail on the stern is indicative enough – bimini top storage hatch is made of mahogany and coated with polished epoxy resin (optional). Mirage has been built on a robust deep-V hull with WinTec technology which includes use of multiaxial fibreglass mat and sandwiched Divinycell-filled topsides. This method decreases total weight and, at the same time, considerably improves runabout’s stability. Internal structure is thus firmly and abundantly laminated, which prevents damages even during extravagant acrobatics, which will encourage many, especially younger boaters, to explore Mirage’s potential at full gas and to the fullest. Available are several single gasoline and diesel Volvo Penta engines, all with duo-prop propellers. With gasoline V8 5.7 GSi, Mirage develops maximum speed of 44 knots (4.800 rpm), also achievable with diesel engine 300 KAD EDC (3.950 rpm). Neither cruising speeds significantly differ – 35,6 with first engine and 35,2 with the latter. Difference lies in better acceleration and lower level of noise with gasoline engine and smaller fuel consumption with more expensive diesel engine.
