Formula´s novelty for 2007 is a sporty runabout with weekend capability. Clear, contemporary lines are not really ahead of time, but again, they are certainly fresh and attractive, which guarantees this model´s long and successful life. Famous Formula quality is applied here with pressure-treated Perma Panel structural hull matrix. Exterior graphic is moulded-in into the gel coat giving entire boat attractive shine and cleanliness. With classic Formula layout, cockpit is specially designed for as comfortable as possible accommodation, which is especially obvious from a double-wide helm, a center-facing bench seat across from the helm, a wet bar with refrigerator behind this bench seat, and a large U-shaped settee with a stowable table across from the wet bar. The convertible lounge is spanning between the aft settee and the swim platform. In its normal position, this forms an aft-facing recliner, but the divider between the cockpit settee and this aft lounge quickly folds flat to form a sun pad. Interior has plan usual for cruisers of this size, but with a difference that Formula 310 SS has supreme quality equipment and top level finishing treatment. Seating bow set with a circular backrest all the way around the bow is convertible into double V-shaped bed, while galley is small but efficiently equipped for quick preparation of the simple meals. With the table removed the dinette transforms into a salon settee, with a stereo and an optional LCD TV with an integrated DVD player.
Among several engine options, twin 320-hp MerCruiser 6.2 MPI and Bravo III sterndrives will cruise the 310 SS around 25 knots (155 nm range) and reach a top speed of about 42-43 knots. Steering at slow speed is responsive, and twin engines made docking a pleasure as well.
