Sealine C330v
After Sealine’s successful debut of an outboard-powered boat last year, the S330v, it has followed up with the agile Sealine C330v
The hull’s fine entry and deadrise at critical hull stations enables it to deliver soft ride in rough water. That’s what the deep-V and Ray Hunt designs are all about. (FYI—Ray Hunt designed the bottom of the Bertram 31 which was first produced in 1961 and started the deep-V trend in offshore powerboats.)
But there is a lot more to the new 458 than a deep-V bottom, the interior is a giant step forward for Four Winns in terms of opulence, large-yacht features and technology. Powered by Volvo’s IPS pod drives, the 458 delivers some 25% better economy than similar-sized yachts with conventional inboards, and fingertip control with the Volvo IPS joystick makes handling this boat dockside a pleasure for the whole family.
Helm station visibility is very good with a big expanse of windshield glass forward and minimal interference from the sculpted hardtop supports and mullions. Full-height bow railings lead all the way forward along wide, flat side decks, adding a good measure of topside safety. The oversized power swim platform lowers to serve as a tender dock or diving staging area (optional - extended aft platform and extended aft platform with hydro-lift), while two sets of stern cleats add mooring options. Down below, the layout features cherry cabinetry, and large side ports and overhead hatches flood the interior with sunlight.
There’s more: the cockpit railing and deckhouse railing back aft, the transom trunk, extended visor over the cockpit, enclosable cockpit area, storage bins under the deck port/stbd aft, long pantograph windshield wiper, teak aft, etc. all of which our quality up-grades and good, thoughtful design.
With twin Volvo-Penta IPS 500s, retail price is $640,000. With IPS 600s, retail is $676,554.
