Four Winns introduces the new 378 Vista cruiser for 2004. Power and versatility prevail to provide a luxury cruiser well suited for both fresh and saltwater use. As currently the biggest Four Winns´ model for fishing devotees, 378 Vista offers high level of comfort for belonging category. Interior and exterior are elegant with functional solutions and excellent finishing treatment.
The aft cockpit is the largest on the water in this category and size of craft. It provides ample floor space and plush U-shaped seating with soft sculpted seat backs. This area can be converted to an immense sunning area with the addition of fill-in cushions. To port is a full-featured refreshment center with refrigerator and ice maker, stainless steel sink and counter surface. Forward, the helm features a luxurious doublewide seat that is large enough to accommodate the driver and a passenger. A flip-up bolster is standard. To port, a roomy two-person companion lounge offers additional seating in an open design. Details abound in the helm area. Full instrumentation is offered in an individual gauge design encased in Burlwood trim and enhanced with gold bezel accents for a rich, attractive display. Split throttle and shifter controls flank a sweeping helm unit featuring full instrumentation. An armrest adjacent to starboard not only provides welcome support for the pilot, but conceals a storage area for personal effects.
The forward deck is roomy and provides locations for an available sunning cushion. The integrated pulpit area at the bow features an integrated anchor locker that fully conceals the windlass, a standard feature, for uncluttered foredeck architecture. The power windlass is standard on the 378.
A port-side companionway door that includes a screen as standard, leads to the cabin. The roomy forward V-berth accommodates two adults, each well over six feet. Fitted sheets are standard for the V-berth inner spring mattress, making overnight accommodations exceptionally easy. A cherry finish laminate creates an elegant look for the galley cabinets and is enhanced by a granite-look fiberglass counter surface and integrated sink unit. The galley incorporates significant counter space while providing generous upper and below-counter closed storage, a refrigerator, stove, microwave and coffee maker. The entire aft sofa folds down to create a roomy berth for additional sleeping accommodations. Wood oval tables fold out to create large dining surfaces and feature hydraulic lifts for adjustability and versatility.
To starboard, the other sofa creates a roomy dinette designed to accommodate six or more adults. Backrest bolsters remove to form cushions for the dinette fill-in which converts the unit into a side berth. A solid wood table unit matches the cherry cabinetry. Owners will appreciate the modern electronic equipment in the 378’s cabin. A flat screen TV and DVD combination is built into the cabinetry for a clean, sophisticated look. A Clarian AM/FM/CD sound system with removable face plate is located in the cabin and features a remote control with display at the helm.
Cabin comforts include standard air conditioning as well as a central vac system. The list of standards on the 378 is impressive. An on-board generator one such yachtcaliber standard feature, available in either gas or diesel depending on the owner’s choice of propulsion power. In addition, owners enjoy the added room and functionality of a complete camper canvas package, as standard.
Engine choices for the 378 Vista are available in the owner’s choice of Volvo-Penta and MerCruiser options. For those desiring diesel power, twin inboards are available by Volvo-Penta and Catepillar. All engines have fresh water cooling as standard. In the Four Winns tradition, the 378 Vista is constructed of fiberglass parts made with premier gel protection.
