Jeanneau already introduced the new 2016 flagship of its Leader range, the Leader 46, at last month’s Cannes Yachting Festival. Everybody who missed that occasion will be glad to hear that they can get a second glance of this European Power Boat of the Year 2016 nominee at the Salon Nautico in Barcelona (International Boat Show) from October 14th to 18th, 2015.
The express cruiser from Garroni Design (designer) and J&J Design (naval architect) offers some nice features on deck as well as below deck. Let’s begin with the barbecue in the stern section. Underneath there is a tender garage – no problem for 46 feet. The foredeck has a spacious sunbathing area, but on board the Leader 46, the helmsman can also enjoy some sunbeams when the rigid sliding hard top roof is open. It allows for very flexible use of the cockpit area as a deckhouse with panoramic view when the windows all around are closed or become part of the sundeck. The whole deck area is on one level.
Below deck two versions of the luxurious and contemporary interior are feasible: One with two cabins (with the owner’s cabin amidships and the guest cabin in the bow section) and one with three cabins. In the latter version there is less seating space below, bust still enough for quiet and convivial moments likewise. The galley on port side has the same impressing size in both versions.
