The new Catana 50 is a pure sail cruiser, also suitable for fast sailing in all weathers. The unsinkable fiberglass hull is built using vinylester vacuum bagged sandwich construction, Twaron Impact Process technology. The new design, by Christophe Barreau, its unique self-supporting bimini increases forward visibility and offers space for solar panels and a comfortable sun lounge.
The well sheltered, large cockpit offers comfort as well as easier and safer manoeuvring. The innovatively designed helm stations offer seats for the skipper and guest. With its streamlined hulls, underwater bulbs, tulip-shaped bows and retractable daggerboards, the Catana 50 continues Catana’s reputation for stability, safety and performance. The new integral forward beam brings greater integrity and stiffness to the structure and the rig.
