Along the lines of the Oceanis 58, the design office of Nauta Design considered a certain number of interior changes desirable in order to improve comfort, more in terms of balancing the feel than the ergonomics, about which owners are unanimous. The new Oceanis 50 will therefore benefit from an enriched interior to make it even more contemporary and to give it an even lighter feel.
On deck, the change is more visible. With the Oceanis 58, the Oceanis 50 will be one of the first production cruising yachts to benefit from a fixed spray hood arch on which the mainsheet purchase is of course fitted. The advantages of this configuration are numerous:
- clear companionway and coachroof forward for more comfortable access to the interior
- easy mainsail adjustment
- more rigid and safer spray hood and bimini attachment
- easy to move out of the cockpit thanks to handrails.
The coachroof lines revives those of its predecessor, with a modernised appearance by means of a more stretched coachroof, a very well integrated spray hood and lengthened side openings for improved interior light. The new Oceanis 50 will therefore reveal a more dynamic interpretation of the general deck lines. For the rest, life raft stowage and also the ergonomics of the cockpit or the helm positions repeat those established on the Oceanis 50. From now on, this sailing yacht with its clean lines offers an unequalled choice of layout versions for sailing as a couple on cruises with a big family (Family versions).
