Mixture of classical and modern elements resulted in likeable Etap´s novelty for the season of 2003. This proves the shipyard´s readiness to accept new ideas, as well as perfecting basic elements Etap is renowned for. In the world of sailing, Etap is recognised as serious manufacturer by its consistency in building unsinkable, exceptionally solid and stable hull. Unique double-skinned structure has polyurethane closed-cell foam injected into the space between the two hulls. Since foam is lighter than water such structure ensures boat will not sink even if seriously damaged, while hull and deck have improved torque-resistibility and insulation that almost completely eliminates condensation in the interior. Very good sailing qualities are additionally contributed by the 9/10 two-spreader mast, possibility of choosing type of keel and logically positioned deck equipment (mainsail winches should be, perhaps, moved towards, because of the mainsail sheet travellers with which they are abreast). Regularly equipped interior made of cherry plywood with its expressiveness and wealth of skilfully devised details completes this, regarding everything, desirable sailing boat.
New news - Considered the Oscars of the sailing industry, the Cruising World and Sailing World 2004 Boat of the Year Awards were handed out in St. Petersburg, Florida early November. The judging team of 5 independent industry experts gave highest marks to the Etap 37s for safety, innovative design, overall quality of construction and impressive handling on the water both under sail and power.
