Accidents at the fuel dock can result in polluted waterways and substantial fines for marina owners and managers. The best way to avoid contamination is through preventive measures. But once a spill has occurred, the Dockside Emergency Spill Kit from Centek Industries quickly captures and contains it. Filled with all the essential items to take immediate action against a spill, the convenient kit features a durable container for permanent dock placement. Storing all the supplies right where they´re needed, the kit rapidly prevents oil, gasoline, diesel, transmission fluids and other petroleum product spills from polluting the environment.
To reduce waste, the 3m Sheen Devil instantly attaches to oil with virtually zero water dragout. It prevents weathering and separation on contact and will not generate a static charge. A 3m Terra Guard provides complete shoreline protection. The spill kit also includes one 1.4 x 3 m Versimat, 20 Versipads and two 0.5 kg bags of Viscochips. Specially-treated naturally wood-based, Viscochips can be applied directly to spills, to thicken light oils or turn heavy oils into a solid buoyant mass. This enhances the efficiency of skimmers.
Each of the 40 SmartPads provided measures 35 x 53 cm. With a unique design and buoyancy, each SmartPad is capable of removing over 1kg of oil. The Dockside Emergency Spill Kit also includes 0.4 L of completely biodegradable PowerSolve. The high strength multipurpose cleaning solvent contains d-Limonene, an unmatched blend of Centek´s patented MYCELX technology and a proprietary surfactant.
