In this category the jury have looked at a number of interesting products, but only one stood head and shoulder above the rest. The winner was the EVRSafe ISS-1040 from EVRSafe Marine Technologies (also Winner at IBEX in the electronics and Electrical systems category). The EVRSafe ISS-1040 has a small screen that instantly tells the viewer the readouts from the EVRSafe sensors installed around the yacht. The sensors can simultaneously detect many hazardous gasses, such as carbon dioxide, propane, butane, and others. When the device senses the presence of a gas, an alarm sounds, and the screen immediately shows which sensor is detecting the gas. The unit can be customized for any boat and include up to 130 sensors and several screens in strategic locations throughout the vessel. The unit can also be configured to shut off fuel valves or turn on blowers when needed. (Source: METS)
