Navman, a leading designer and manufacturer of world class marine electronics, communication and global positioning system (GPS) products, announced two new color chartplotters. The Tracker 5605 and Tracker 5505 sport daylight viewable QVGA 6.4-inch and 5-inch displays respectively and run MAX, the latest and most powerful charting product from C-MAP. These dedicated chartplotters feature a new concise user interface and a wealth of powerful features.
The new Trackers feature Navman’s exclusive Digital Fuel Computer, Mercury SmartCraftTM engine management software, and when connected to the Navman VHF 7200 radio, the exclusive “Track Your Buddy” feature that automatically displays vessel locations of up to three boating friends on the Tracker screen. Connectivity with the VHF 7200 also provides barometric readings and a “happy fish symbol” to indicate optimal fishing conditions. Additional features of the Trackers include storage of up to 3000 waypoints and 25 routes, Chart & Highway and Chart & SmartCraft gauge split screen modes, a dedicated man overboard button, multiple alarms and are designed to operate in both 12V and 24V power systems.
