With the by Amartech developed new piece of Equipment, the ´PROP-PUSH-TOOL´ can the propeller be removed from the propeller shaft in an easy way. If a propeller needs repair, what regularly happens, the removal of the propeller from the propeller shaft without damaging each part is a big problem. This is caused by the tapered application of the propeller on the propeller shaft, which is a very tight construction. Quite often the attempts to remove the propeller include very coarse actions, for instance slamming with a heavy hammer. This results in a damaged propeller hub and in the worst case a bent propeller shaft. For solving this problem, the innovation team of AMARTECH have found an intelligent solution. With a small piece of ingenious equipment, this job can be done easily and safely.
By using the well known fact that large powers can be made by applying a Force on a Moment Arm, the propeller can be removed without all these problems, thus saving time and costs. The maximum pushing force of a significant 10 tons can be applied, just by tightening 2 nuts. (Amartech Propulsion B.V.)
