An air vent prevents sea water from siphoning into the engine via the cooling water skin fitting after the engine has been stopped.
VETUS has recently expanded its existing range of air vents with two new models; the ASDV (with valve) and the ASDH (with bleed hose), made entirely from non corrosive synthetic materials . The air bleed connection rotates through 360°, thus offering more installation possibilities. The valve can be serviced without the need for tools or for removing the air vent from the bulkhead. Both air vents are interchangeable with the existing models AIRVENTV and AIRVENTH.
The air vent is just one component out of an extensive range of VETUS around the engine products.
