Yamaha Marine Group announced today its Helm Master™ fully integrated boat control system now supports select quad outboard applications. Helm Master can be tailored for specific boat models and with this quad control update, the latest in Yamaha boat control technology is available for boats that exceed 40 feet in length.
Compared to conventional quad outboard control systems, Helm Master offers many additional benefits including outstanding docking and maneuvering capabilities and joystick control fore, aft, port and starboard. In addition, the joystick can be rotated for turning and positioning the boat. At the touch of a button, the Helm Master system integrates throttle, shift and steering. There is no need for bow thrusters in most boats. There is also a user-selectable high mode that allows the outboards to operate at higher rpm for increased control.
