Suzuki Marine introduces new high-thrust, power tilt-and-trim versions of its 9.9 horsepower four-stroke—the 2008 DF9.9HTL (High Thrust/20") and DF9.9HTX (High Thrust/25" Shaft) featuring a special high-thrust propeller delivering efficient and reliable low-speed performance for heavy fishing and sailboats. This also makes Suzuki’s DF9.9HTL and HTX ideal “get home” auxiliary motors on a range of vessels. A new, larger hub design also reduces cavitation when running in reverse — a significant advantage during extended backtrolling. Additionally, power tilt (a first for Suzuki outboard of this size) lets boaters quickly and easily raise or lower the motor with the push of a button on the tiller handle or remote control. This makes it easier than ever for sailors to get ready for action or for anglers to run to the next hot spot.
