Designed for small crews
The Parasailor was developed especially for small crews. It is very easy to handle and very well tempered. After all, what you want is a relaxed and drama-free atmosphere on board. Even more so when it's only your spouse and you.
No pole required
There are several ways of rigging the Parasailor. While it is perfectly fine to use the spinnaker pole just like with a regular spinnaker, it is definitely not necessary to do that. The spreading moment of the wing suffices to conveniently use the Parasailor without a pole.
Well tempered companion
The Parasailor is a very well tempered companion on your downwind courses. Unlike regular spinnakers, the Parasailor stands very stable and has very little inclination to roll or collapse.
How come it is so stable? It is the wing that stiffens out the sail. Similar to an air mattress, the wing has a natural form to which it constantly strives. So, stay relaxed when the outer lanes of the sail curl in due to a wind shift: the wing withstands the change of wind direction and keeps the sail open, just like a soft batten.
And even if the Parasailor should have collapsed after a sudden strong wind shift, the spreading moment of the wing supports the re-opening once the wind has shifted back again, calm and gentle.
