Glastron
The largest GTD model (over 22 feet) is now offered in a Surf & Fish version with specific equipment and a different look inspired by the sunny skies and surf culture of California. Hull decorations in wood panelling decor, pastel tones, and palm leaf prints on the sides of the hull grace this new model designed for lovers of wakeboarding. The GTD 225 Surf has a fuel capacity of 196 litres and can accommodate up to 10 people on board.
The depth of the cockpit, with its high freeboards, is particularly reassuring when younger passengers are on board. Above all, it is the engine that gives this model its unique character. The boat is equipped with the exclusive inversed propulsion system by Volvo: the Forward Drive Volvo Penta. With 240 HP, this innovative system boosts the acceleration. It increases fuel economy, due to its efficient, forward-facing propellers hidden below the boat, which also affords greater security for swimmers. Above all, the Forward Drive Volvo Penta, as opposed to a fixed inboard, has the capacity to create the perfect wake for water sports.
In addition to its innovative propulsion system, this boat is a very competitive model in its category, offering all the essential elements of a boat specialised for water sports. Wake plates, a generous swim platform, a wakeboard tower, storage racks for wakeboards and optional speed controls round out a complete package for regular use. Available in June of 2018 on the GTD 225, the Surf version will also be offered in February of 2019 on the GTD 205 inboard model and a new decoration in wood, light grey and “Atomic” yellow will be offered as an option for this specific line.
